Amanda Fleming
Resident Facilitator
Who’s Amanda?
Amanda has been delivering highly effective leadership development for more than three decades in a wide variety of sectors.
An ex police officer, she is known for co-creating safe environments for genuine learning and brings a practical and principles-based methodology to this work.
Two-time author and long-time guest faculty on The Icehouse Owner Manager and LDP programmes, she has worked with hundreds of businesses and teams. Amanda spent 14 years on the Board of an NGO and one of her leadership ‘wins’ was running a 500 strong group of volunteers over several years with great results.
Amanda has moved back to her home region of Otago and is now resident facilitator at The Business Hive.
Feedback on Amanda’s workshops:
"I have watched Amanda perform miracles with our Icehouse owner-managers for years. She has also profoundly assisted me in my own speaking challenges." ~ Darl Kolb (Professor of Connectivity, Graduate School of Management, University of Auckland Business School)
"Amanda has a unique ability to very quickly create a safe environment for learning. As presenters and audience you learn quickly from the experience and the debriefs, as there is no sense of judgement. The result of this is that you feel a lot more confident by the end of the course."
"I have the utmost respect for her as a teacher and facilitator, and can confidently recommend her to anyone who seeks to develop their own 'up front' skills". ~ Barbara Simpson, Chair of Innovation, Glasgow University
